Beersheba's electric-rock combo "Side" (founded in 2003) performs original songs in English and is about to go off on a European tour. The "Hadim" (Echoes) are the most veteran rock & pop combo in Beersheba, singing classics from the 1960's on, original songs & material from the World over. Formed in 1968 in Beersheba by the guitarists/singers Shelomoh and Avi Asaf, they were joined by a variety of other talented sings/musicians over the decades

In an innovative cooperation between the Beersheba Sinfonietta, under
the artistic direction of Doron Solomon, and Dr. Warren Brodsky of the Arts Dept. at B.G.U., a novel academic course is being offered in classical music appreciation, to include 6 concerts, as well as lectures. The technique of "active listening" developed by the late Jewish conductor/composer Leonard Bernstein will be applied
